In the south coast of Ende, Flores, a village named Dona produces very fine ikat textile with two different styles; the ones closer to Ende and the ones closer to Lio.
The most symbolic piece of cloth in Dona is Semba or man’s shawl. This Semba is adorned in geometrical motifs with strong resemblance of red color coming from Morinda plant.
